If you like mysteries, you must check out this new novel, Last Seen Leaving, by Caleb Roehrig. This isn’t a genre that I tend to grab off the shelves, but when I saw the summary, I knew I had to request it on NetGalley.
Summary by Goodreads:
Flynn’s girlfriend has disappeared. How can he uncover her secrets without revealing his own?
Flynn’s girlfriend, January, is missing. The cops are asking questions he can’t answer, and her friends are telling stories that don’t add up. All eyes are on Flynn—as January’s boyfriend, he must know something.
But Flynn has a secret of his own. And as he struggles to uncover the truth about January’s disappearance, he must also face the truth about himself.
Doesn’t this sound intriguing? This book could actually be broken up into two parts:
- This is a story about true friendships and love. It is also about realizing how well we actually know the people that we love and care about.
- There is also the mystery of January’s disappearance. Where is January? What happened to her? Why can’t they find her body?
I picked this one up just the other day and I couldn’t put it down.
